Poem of Graditude

A tender and honest poem of spiritual gratitude. Through pain, delay, and divine correction, the heart learns what love truly is. This is a thank you to the Father not for what was easy, but for what shaped the soul to recognize Him.

A golden-lit early morning field with a lone figure kneeling in prayer, hands raised in surrender. Soft clouds part above, letting beams of sunlight gently illuminate the scene.

I am grateful for everything.

I couldn’t have been hurt so much if I did not have a desire for love and a soft heart.

If I wasn’t exposed to as much harshness and heartache I would have enjoyed the world and been blind.

If God didn’t rebuke me for my disobedience in behaving as Jesus would I wouldn’t have cared to listen and obey.

I know if I had gotten what I thought I wanted, I would have lost everything.

If I didn’t keep waiting, if I dealt with anything in a way that made sense, if I didn’t become a fool for the lord, I wouldn’t KNOW love.

Thank you, Father
